A new school means new lines — know your side
Katy ISD is planning a new elementary school for fall 2027 — and with it, new attendance lines touching Wolfe, West Memorial, Bear Creek, and Cimarron elementaries, Mayde Creek and Cardiff junior highs, and Cinco Ranch High School.
Nothing is final yet. But school lines move home values street by street — same neighborhood, different school, different number. If you own near any of these schools, know which side of the proposed line your street sits on before you price, list, or buy.

Buyers are back — and so is your competition
Buyers signed 12.3% more contracts in June than a year ago — the strongest sign yet that they’re moving again. That’s from HAR’s June report, out last week.
But your home has company: 38,839 homes are for sale across the Houston area, and the typical sale now takes 52 days. Demand is real — and so is the competition. The homes that win are priced where buyers already see the value on day one.
Quiet news that holds your value up
Sugar Land approved a $1.3 million incentive to bring a new pharmaceutical facility to the Sugar Land Business Park — nearly $11.9 million invested and 55 new jobs.
New employers bring new paychecks, and new paychecks need homes nearby. It won’t make headlines — but this is exactly the kind of quiet demand that holds Fort Bend home values up.
Houston’s front door just got $62 million
Bush Intercontinental is getting more than $62 million in federal grants to rebuild its runways — right as its $1.46 billion terminal overhaul wraps up.
Companies choose cities they can fly out of easily, and relocating families follow the companies. It never shows up on a for-sale sign — but it’s part of why buyers keep coming to Houston and Fort Bend.
